Functions:

v  To be registered under society registration act;

v  To interact with students, staff, faculty and with one another;

v  To promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction between the  Alumni and the present students of Indira Gandhi College, Boitamari and between the Alumni  themselves;

v  To participate in activities contributing to improvement of infrastructure and Academic activities of I. G. College;

v  To enable the alumni to participate in activities that would contribute to the general development of the college;

v  To arrange and collect funds for the development of the college;

v  To decide prizes and scholarships for meritorious students, and financial aid for the poor and deserving students of I. G. College;

v  To take advantage of developing technologies like the internet in achieving the aims and objects of the Association and College;

v  Arrange get together of the alumni and social/cultural functions of the alumni;

v  Any other activities that the general body may decide from time to time etc.
